The Reasons You Are Beautiful
Poems of Hope and Resilience
The words of others can help to lift us up.
A heart of ashes, a soul worn thin,
A gaze that's seen the darkest sin,
A mind that echoes with the screams unheard,
A body scarred, each mark a word
Of battles fought in the abyss of night,
Where hope was lost and shadows bite.
A hollow laugh, a bitter smile,
A weary dance, a life on trial,
The world a blur, a distant dream,
Haunted by ghosts, a broken theme,
A thirst for peace, a yearning to be free,
From the chains of hell that bind and see.
Each step a struggle, each breath a fight,
A fragile shell, barely holding light,
The weight of sorrow, a heavy cloak,
A silent plea, a soul that broke,
Yet, in the cracks, a flicker remains,
A whisper of strength, that still sustains.
This poem captures the feeling of someone who has endured immense suffering, marked by a deep sense of exhaustion, emotional numbness, a lingering fear, but also a glimmer of resilience and a desire for healing.

My admiration for the person I adore, respect, love and worship!
A Shield of Steel, A Heart of Gold,
A woman stands, her voice so bold,
When shadows fall, and doubt takes hold,
She'll face the storm, a story…
